Uniform

Scouts wear uniforms to foster a sense of team belonging, show individual achievement through earned badges, and promote equality by bringing together individuals of diverse backgrounds. The uniform also serves as a physical reminder of commitment to Scouting’s ideals, and encourages a neat appearance and good behavior. The tradition of uniforms in Scouting began with its founder, Robert Baden-Powell, who saw practical benefits in a standard, comfortable, and protective uniform.

In order to keep the cost of Scouting low, we wear the official Scouting shirt and pants similar to the official uniform pants. Our troops do not include hats, kerchiefs, socks, or other garments available from Scouting America as part of our Class A uniform.
